Workshop B-Bug ID: Where to Get Started

Room 102

Join us for a workshop on insect identification and reporting! One of the hardest aspects of working in any landscape is knowing the myriad number of insect species and how to start putting names to faces.  This workshop is intended to help participants get a start on identifying common native species along with non-native species that have been reported in Indiana. This will be a hands-on experience using tools of the entomology trade, such as the hand lens, microscope, and pinned specimens. We will also go over the process of reporting non-native species to both the Department of Natural Resources as well as various online resources. We hope to see you there!
