Jada Powlen is a Lead Research Scholar at Purdue University. Her research is focused on reducing turfgrass management inputs for cool and warm season turfgrass species. This includes evaluating turfgrass species and cultivars grown, and the optimization of various turf management practices including fertilization, irrigation, and pesticide applications.
This presentation will discuss preventative management strategies to reduce irrigation needs and maintain healthy turf during periods of low rainfall. Additionally, this presentation will discuss options for improving turf recovery after a drought event.
