Richard has a BS in Agronomy /Horticulture and a MS in Commercial Horticulture from Western Kentucky University.
For the last 38 years he has worked for Purdue University as a County Extension Educator. The last 36 years, he has been assigned as the Agricultural and Natural Resource Educator in Jackson County. His areas of expertise are Home Horticulture and Commercial Vegetable/Produce Production. He has presented extension programs throughout Southern Indiana on various topics including Home/Commercial Horticulture, Pesticide Use/Application and Farm Stress. He has completed two international assignments in Columbia, SA and Trinidad.
