Bio: Dr. Katare is an Associate Professor in Agricultural Economics at Purdue University. Her current research and outreach efforts concentrate on rural health and labor outcomes. She designs programs and training initiatives tailored for rural employees, employers, and caregivers. These programs are specifically crafted to effectively encourage positive labor, health, and employment outcomes.
Although employers tend to focus on technical skills, research has shown that worker productivity, quality of work, and worker retention is affected by workplace conflict and lack of employee wellbeing.
